There are channel ferry ports in England at Poole, Southampton, Portsmouth and Dover and you can choose your French destination port of either St Malo, Cherbourg, Roscoff, Caen, Le Harve or Calais. The choice of ferry route depends
on where you live and how you wish to undertake it.

Many of our clients prefer to take the trip the leisurely way by leaving a day early and booking a hotel room for the night
on route.  Some prefer the direct approach and undertake the trip in one go, Dover/Calais being the shortest and least expensive crossing. Others prefer a night crossing taking a cabin on board the ferry and making the most of the ships facilities. From Calais, the drive takes around 7 hours at the speed limits and with a clear run through Paris. The toll roads cost around 47 euros for the whole journey. Whilst the drive is long, it is stress-free and on excellent quality roads.

Another popular mode of transport with the guests of Exclusive Angling Holidays is flying with Ryanair or Flybe.  Limoges airport is closest to our lakes, and is served by Stansted, Liverpool, Birmingham, Bristol, East Midlands, Glasgow, Manchester, Newcastle and Southampton airports in the UK, as well as many others.

Average cost per flight (duration one hour fifteen minutes) is very low, though prices vary depending upon which day of the week you choose to fly. Those opting to fly midweek and spend a few days exploring this wonderful area can fly from as little as £3.99! (exc. taxes) provided you book early.

Car rental is just 10 metres outside the terminal building (cost approx £250.00 per week) and then a forty minute drive to Exclusive Angling Holidays.
To find us from Limoges airport, follow the signs to Aixe sur Vienne (or Perigueux); and then
follow the directions given below.
